Sensitivity and DPI: why changing them breaks everything
This is one of the most common support questions: "it worked perfectly yesterday, today it is completely off." The answer is nearly always the same — sensitivity changed.
Why that happens
No recoil works through mouse movement, not by instructing the game directly. When it says "move 15 units down", those 15 units become camera rotation through your sensitivity settings.
Double your sensitivity and the same 15 units produce twice the rotation — so suddenly you are over-compensating.

The right order
- Settle your mouse DPI first. Pick a value and leave it alone. 400 and 800 are common choices.
- Then settle in-game sensitivity. Play with it for a few days until you are sure.
- Then set your ADS sensitivity multiplier.
- Now tune your no-recoil profiles.
If you are still experimenting with sensitivity, it is not time to tune no recoil. Fix one before the other.
Watch your mouse software
Some gaming mice carry several DPI profiles switched by a button on the mouse itself. Hit that button by accident and your DPI changes without you noticing — and then you conclude the tool is broken.
If your tune goes wrong for no apparent reason, check the DPI in your mouse software first.
Turn off mouse acceleration
Acceleration means faster movement produces more rotation. That is fundamentally incompatible with no recoil, because the compensation amount is no longer constant.
In Windows: Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Mouse › Additional mouse settings › Pointer Options › untick "Enhance pointer precision".
